ARMAND DE BRIGNAC CHAMPAGNE NOW AVAILABLE IN BELIZE
– Karl H Menzies Company Ltd is the Belize distributor of this exclusive cuvée –
Chigny Les Roses, France 31st December, 2009 – The limited-production Champagne Armand de Brignac recently made its debut in Belize and will be distributed by Karl H Menzies Company Ltd through its subsidiary, The Beverage Division Ltd. Produced entirely by hand from only Premier and Grand Cru-rated grapes, Armand de Brignac Champagne is a seamless fusion of elegant artistry and bold innovation. Its superb quality is rooted in the time-honored traditions of its production, under the guidance of Chateau patriarch Jean-Jacques Cattier and a staff of only eight craftspeople.
Since 1763, the Cattier family – independent owners of Champagne Cattier and producers of Armand de Brignac – has owned and cultivated vineyards in the prestigious Montagne de Reims terroir of the French Champagne region. Jean-Jacques Cattier and his son, Chief Oenologist Alexandre Cattier, employ painstaking old-world techniques to ensure that the family’s secret winemaking traditions are alive in every bottle of Armand de Brignac.
“Jean-Jacques Cattier created this exclusive, distinctive blend to deliver on our promise that every bottle of Armand de Brignac is an exceptional treasure – from its stunning bottle to the magnificent Champagne held within,” said Philippe Bienvenu, Commercial and Marketing Director of Champagne Cattier. “The result is a timeless cuvée of unmatched quality, representing for us the ultimate achievement.”
The refined taste of Armand de Brignac is a reflection of the vineyards where its grapes are cultivated. The picturesque Cattier vineyards are classified as “Premier Cru” by the Comité Interprofessionel du Vin de Champagne (CIVC), the French Champagne governing body. This designation is earned by fewer than 50 of the Champagne region’s 300-plus vineyards. A selection of the best grapes from the topmost portion of the harvest’s first pressing is designated exclusively for Armand de Brignac, and the blend for Armand de Brignac’s flagship Brut Gold is created from a perfect balance of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes selected both from Cattier’s own vineyards and other Premier and Grand Cru-rated land in the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, and Vallée de la Marne regions.
A paperless gold-plated bottle perfectly complements the Armand de Brignac blend and mirrors the splendor and pioneering style of the French fashion industry. Originally conceived by famed French fashion designer André Courréges, the bottle features four hand-applied pewter labels – accented with two Ace of Spades insignias symbolizing the Champagne region’s regal history and heritage.
“Armand de Brignac appeals to the exceptional individual who seeks the ultimate toast – the person who refuses to be defined by convention and finds passion in pushing life’s boundaries,” said Bienvenu. “Armand de Brignac epitomizes the ‘je ne sais quoi’ quality in life – that elusive, compelling attribute that is sought by many, but realized by few.”

Armand de Brignac Tasting Notes:
Marvelously complex and full-bodied, the bouquet is both fresh and lively, with light floral notes. On the palate, Armand de Brignac has a sumptuous, racy fruit character that is perfectly integrated with the wine’s subtle brioche accents. The Champagne’s texture is deliciously creamy, with great depth and a long, silky finish.
